The Practice

Three practices, one system.

Kriya, breath control, meditation. They build on each other in that order, and each one works on its own if that's all the time you have.

Action

Kriya

Movement that clears what the workday leaves behind.

Awareness

Breath Control

The switch you already carry, once you know how to use it.

Stillness

Meditation

What the first two are clearing the way for.

Kriya simply means action.

You'll be taught sequences of body movements that circulate stagnant energy and blood in the body. Movement of the limbs from head to toe, coordinated with the breath.

This is not a yoga class. There are no poses to hold and nothing to be flexible enough for. It's designed for a body that has already been working, and it can be done in boots on a jobsite.

What it does: loosens what tightened up over the shift, moves blood back into the places that have been locked, and gets the breath and the body working together again before you ask anything else of either one.

There is so much hidden potential in the breath.

You'll be taught pranayama, breath retention, and awareness of the breath.

The breath is the one part of the nervous system you can take manual control of. Change the pattern and the system follows. Longer out than in and you settle. Sharper and faster and you fire up. Hold it and something else opens entirely.

What it does: gives you a way to change your state on purpose. Before a hard conversation. After a bad call. At two in the morning when the job is running in your head and won't stop.

Awareness is everything. Your breath is always with you.

You've heard of this one. This is not that.

What you'll experience here is on a level you haven't experienced. You'll be given the information that is so crucial to actually utilizing this powerful practice in its full capacity.

Most people try meditation, sit there fighting their own mind for ten minutes, decide they're bad at it, and quit. That happens because nobody told them what they were actually doing or what was supposed to happen. The instruction is the difference.

What it does: it's the point of the other two. Kriya clears the body, breath control settles the system, and this is what becomes available once they're out of the way.
